Ainolnaim Azizol
Ainolnaim Azizol obtained an ATCL piano performance and a degree in piano performance and pedagogy at the University Of Science Malaysia (USM). Ainol has been actively involved with local traditional music ensemble as accordionist and gamelan player. He has taught gamelan at the National Department of Cultural and Arts Pahang, Malaysia as well piano and chamber orchestra for various organizations. Ainol had obtained masters in music composition and technology at the Birmingham Conservatoire. He had participated the IMD Summer Course 2012, which he had the chance to premiere his piece. He had lessons with Brian Ferneyhough, Claus‐Steffen Mahnkopf, Georges Arpeghis and Hildegard Westerkamp. His music were recognized and won several prizes in music composition competitions such as Acht Brücken Musik für Köln Young Composers Competition 2013, Carl von Ossiestzky International Composition Competition 2011/12 and others.

Alexander John L. Villanueva
Alexander John “AJ” L. Villanueva is a graduate of Composition at the University of the Philippines, College of Music (Cum Laude).
He has studied composition and orchestration under composer-conductor Josefino “Chino” Toledo and is currently studying composition under composer-ethnomusicologist Dr. Jonas Baes. He has also taken lessons from renowned composers like Dieter Mack, Chong Kee Yong, Anothai Nitibhon and Bernd Asmus.
He is the Festival Prize Winner of the Young Composers in Southeast Asia Festival and Competition 2011 with his piece Threnody IV which was performed by the Ensemble Mosaik and Ensemble Kyai Fatahillah under the baton of Robert H. Platz. Lately, he was commissioned by the Manila Composers Lab in partnership with the Ernst von Stiemens Musical Foundation of Germany for the piece Ikatlong Silakbo (Third Heartbeat), performed by the Ensemble d’Ecoute from Stuttgart, Germany. He has also participated in the Asian Composers League-Israel, Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival 2009 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Music Underkonstruction V of the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra (2010).

Chow was also a finalist at the Eighth Thailand International Composer Festival (2012), Young Composer in Southeast Asia Competition and Festival 2011, Kuala Lumpur Contemporary Music Festival (KLCMF) 2009 and Malaysia’s inaugural HSBC Classics Festival Young Composer Workshop 2008. Jun Yan begun his composition studies with Mr. Yii Kah Hoe. He graduated with First Class Honours from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YSTCM), Singapore studying under Professor Ho Chee Kong and Professor Steven Miller.

Gan Ruo Xian is currently pursuing a degree in Music Composition under Prof. Peter Edwards at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore. Gan completed his diploma in Music Composition under Chong Kee Yong in LASALLE. His work was performed at the Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival 2010.
Gan’s work has been premiered by Max Riefer, Dirk Amrein and Jürg Henneberger (Manila Composers’ Lab 2011). Awarded as the finalist for 2011 Young Composers Competition of Southeast Asia, his piece was performed by Ensemble Mosaik and conducted by Robert HP Platz. Gan presented his electronic work at the 46th International Summer Course for New Music Darmstadt 2012, and had lessons with Brian Ferneyhough, Georges Aperghis, Mathias Spahlinger and Dai Fujikura. He was selected to present his work at the HighSCORE festival 2013 and had lessons with Christopher Theofanidis and Mario Garutti.

Ken Lim Min Chyh
Ken Lim Min Chyh is a holder of Diploma in Music under full scholarship granted by SEGi College Subang Jaya. He had the chance to meet and learn from internationally recognized musicians such as Jurg Henneberger, Noritaka Ito, Joe Cutler and Ho Chung Shih. He won the Patron Awards for Piano Solo above 18 in the Malaysian Youth Orchestral Foundation’s music festival in 2012. In the same year, he represented Malaysia as a pianist in the Asean Contemporary Music Ensemble conducted by Peter Veale to collaborate with musicians from Germany, Singapore and Thailand Academically, he is also a two-time Dean’s List Awards recipient presented by the college.
A composition student under Malaysian composer Yii Kah Hoe, Ken is actively involved in events organised by the Society of Malaysian Contemporary Composers. He has attended a percussion workshop presented by German percussionist Max Riefer and his piece for solo percussion “Schizophrenic” was performed. His first orchestra piece entitled “Expansion I” was also premiered by the new music ensemble from UiTM in the 2012 Malaysian Composer’s Concert Series V.

Kittiphan Janbuala
Kittiphan received B.A. from Mahidol University, Thailand and Graduate Diploma from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. He began to study in composition with Valeriy Rizayev, Dr. Peter Ivan Edwards and presently with prof. Lee Byung-Moo.
In 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2011, he received the “Young Thai Artist Award finalists awards. He participated in “Weimarer Meisterkurse 2007" in Germany and in 2008, was awarded scholarship from Tongyeong International Music Festival to attend Ensemble TIMF Academy in Bangkok. He was a finalist in KLCMF 2009. He also received scholarship from the Goethe institute of Malaysia to attend the 45th International Summer Course for New Music Darmstadt in 2010. Kittiphan had master classes with Unsuk Chin, Gerhard Müller-Hornbach, Liza Lim, Jeajoon Ryu, Rebecca Saunders, Manos Tsangaris, Orm Finnendahl and Brian Ferneyhough. he also works on electronic, sound art and improvisation as well.
Kittiphan received the ‘Art Major Asia Scholarship and is presently studying at Korea National University of Arts’.

Patrick Gunawan Hartono
Patrick Gunawan Hartono began his music education at the High School of Music, Jogyakarta, majoring in flute, studied under Haris Wahyudi, and Kusyanto. He continued at the Pelita Harapan Conservatory of Music for Electronic Music with Otto Sidartha as well as Field Recording. In 2007-2008, he returned to Jogjakarta and studied at Indonesian Art Institute (ISI), and collaborated with performing art artists in some Art festivals such us Internationanl Water Festival 2008, Bedog International Art Festival, Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival, Wocmat 2012, IDF 2012, etc. Michael Asmoro was his mentor during his life in Jogja. In 2009 – 2011, he went to Institute for Sonology, and Conservatory in Den Haag for Electronic Music course, where he worked in BEA 5 studio and Stockhausen Studio. He studied Electronic Music Composition with Gilius van Berkijk, voltage control with Kees Tazelaar, and Interactive Music Programming with Johan van Kreij. Patrick is currently lives in Den Haag and studies at Codarts - Rotterdam for New Media Composition.

One of his choral works "The Sound of Portugese Malacca" was selected and recorded by Coro de Camara de Lisboa (Lisbon Chamber Choir) from Portugal in their project for the CD "Asian Music". In February 2013, he was invited and represented Malaysia/Singapore to participate in MODART13, Sydney, Australia by The Song Company, directed by Roland Peelman.
