Beijing International Composition Workshop 2013
The Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing will host the 2013 Beijing International Composition Workshop. The 10-day workshop will be held in Beijing, July 14-24, 2013 as the third annual workshop that gathers excellent faculty and promising composers from all over the world. During the intensive 10-day programs, the fellow composers and faculty will meet in individual lessons, composition seminars, faculty lectures, conducting class and rehearsals, as well as two culminating concerts, to present their works, exchange ideas, and explore creative notions and means. In addition, as a special component, Chinese cultural and musical heritage will be presented in lectures and panel discussions, on the topics of Chinese traditional instruments, Chinese folk music, as well as Chinese contemporary musical tendency.
