Below is a note from Ms. MJ Egloso, the coordinator of ACL Phil 2015.
"Greetings!
We are pleased to inform you that after more than 20 years, the Philippines is once again hosting the 33rd International Festival and Conference of the Asian Composers League (ACL), an international organization of composers, music practitioners, and music enthusiasts from all over the world. ACL was founded in 1973 and seeks to promote the interest of music and culture in our respective Asian countries, in order to build meaningful networks with other countries in the Asian region. Consequently, its local chapter, ACL Philippines was founded in 2005 and is proud to have highly esteemed members who are all National Artists for Music; Dr. Lucrecia Kasilag, Dr. Francisco Feliciano, and Dr. Ramon P. Santos.
For this 33rd edition, ACL Philippines has titled this important gathering, Likha-Likas: Reconfiguring Music, Nature, and Myth and scheduled it on November 6 -9, 2015 in Metro Manila and on November 10 to 12 in Batangas City. This will be a gathering and collaboration of composers from different Asian countries, allowing for the further strengthening of ties between fellow Asian composers, as well as the promotion of Filipino identity and spirit. This festival also falls under the ASEAN Integration year, involving the music and composers of ASEAN countries. The ACL Philippines will be inviting composers and musicians from ASEAN countries: Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Attached with this e-mail are the details and schedule of the festival. For inquiries you may get in touch with me at [removed].
